Roboteon chief marketing officer Dan Gilmore was quoted significantly in a recent blog post by Modern Materials Handling’s senior editor Roberto Michel, titled “Robotics, AI, and orchestrating the warehouse.”
Part of the blog’s purpose was to work in tandem with MMH’s July hardcover magazine, with the theme of warehouse technology.
About halfway through the blog, Michel writes: “Roboteon’s Robotic Fulfillment Platform can coordinate multiple robotic systems as one, says Gilmore, and also can orchestrate with conventional automation and manual processes. One key area where ML is useful, says Gilmore, is in task scheduling and sequencing as part of order release across multiple resources to level load warehouse systems in keeping with requirements like service level agreements (SLAs) on order promises.”
He adds: “Gilmore says Generative AI also is getting used in Roboteon’s platform to make it easy to ask for and find relevant information on how to use systems. It’s a way, he adds, to gather up “real time training content” just by asking a “Warehouse GPT” function within the orchestration platform.”
